Hello World,
My name is Shubhadip Bhowmik, and I am a hobbyist software developer and tinkerer. I come from a very small village named "Gorhmoyna" in West Bengal. During my childhood, I didn't have much access to technology, but I was always curious about how it worked behind the scenes. This curiosity has always motivated and excited me, especially seeing how technology can impact people's day-to-day lives. I have always dreamed of becoming a Software Engineer.

I began my schooling at NIVEDITA SISHU SIKSHA NIKETAN for Primary Education, followed by Moyna Vivekananda Vidyamandir for Secondary Education, and completed my Higher Secondary Education at Changrachak Jagadish Smriti Vidyapith in West Bengal. Although I had never traveled outside my state, I ventured to Punjab for my graduation in B.C.A at Chandigarh University, which was a significant step for me.
I enjoy creating websites and building applications. In my leisure time, I express my creativity through UI Designing and writing blogs. What drives me the most is using technology to build solutions that can genuinely help others. In 2020, during my 10th-grade year, I created a website called "madhyamikgyan" to assist students in West Bengal with exam guidance, preparation tips, and support. This project taught me the importance of learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create effective and customized websites.
During breaks from academics, particularly after my 10th board exams, I dedicated myself to learning HTML, CSS, and JS, developing foundational websites. By the time I was in 12th grade, I was proficient enough to build the frontend of any kind of website. However, I encountered a challenge when my websites struggled to be discovered on search engines, leading me to discover the significance of SEO. I learned SEO techniques and implemented them on my websites to improve their visibility.
During my first year at Chandigarh University, I made many friends and cherished my time there. I also joined various Tech Clubs and Societies, participated in numerous Hackathons and Coding Competitions. One of my notable achievements was winning the 1st Prize at the Web dev Bootcamp by Google Developer Student Club. Subsequently, I applied to various internships and eventually secured one at Next Drive India, where I focused on building their Web App and optimizing it for SEO.
Driven by my curiosity for exploring different technologies, I utilized a 45-day vacation period in June to return to my hometown in West Bengal and learn Android development. Inspired by my earlier project "madhyamikgyan," I decided to develop a similar application named Examhunt. I plan to publish this app on the Play Store very soon. During this time, I attended Google Devfest Chandigarh 2022, where I learned about Open Source Projects and how to contribute to them.
In my second year, I participated in GirlScript Summer of Code as both a Contributor and Project Admin, leading the "30-Days-Of-CPP" project. This role allowed me to collaborate globally, contribute code and documentation, and offer technical support to drive open-source innovation. In November 2023, I participated in Project Expo organized by Google at Chandigarh University, where I developed an Android application named "CS Insight." This app provides computer science study materials, best study resources, book recommendations, and integrates with IDEs, aiming to enhance learning experiences.
Keen to broaden my expertise, I enrolled in the Google Cloud Study Jam Programme and was among the Top 10 achievers who completed all pathways. My journey continues to unfold, and I look forward to sharing more updates in the future.
